Hi There! We can’t thank you enough for checking out Location Indie and coming here to learn more about who is behind all of this. (We always check out the ‘About’ pages on websites too!).
Like you, we absolutely love traveling, and have a true passion for helping others discover different ways to explore the world.
Back in the day, we had a hard time finding other people looking to travel more and work from anywhere.
Through our experience running location independent businesses, we discovered that the key to happiness and success was having a like-minded community of friends to lean on for support, advice and to share some laughs with. That’s why Location Indie was born.
We look forward to meeting you on the inside.

Jason spent well over a decade working on the road managing events, tour managing a band and a short stint as an adventure travel tour guide. It’s safe to say he is addicted to travel.
After taking a couple of years to live and work in Boulder, Colorado he decided to build a location independent lifestyle. It took a lot of work but he eventually pulled off this dream and currently shares strategies to help people travel the world on his podcast and website Zero To Travel, the yearly Paradise Pack bundle, and also runs an online business for the experiential marketing industry at eventXchange.biz.
Recently, he got psyched on Pencils of Promise and hitchhiked all of Scotland to raise money for the organization.
Four years ago, Travis was living in Japan and knew he wanted to travel more. But there was no way he could travel as much as he wanted to on a teacher’s salary. Plus, having “only” summers off wasn’t conducive to a schedule of constant travel! So he started learning about all the ways to travel for less, including the golden goose, frequent flyer miles.
In three short years, he was able to earn over 2 million frequent flyer miles and travel to over 25 countries, all for much less than he ever dreamed. He started Extra Pack of Peanuts to share this knowledge with the world as well as create an online business that he could run from anywhere, including the beach in Thailand.
In 2013, added a podcast for those people too lazy to read, which has now become one of the top rated travel podcasts on iTunes!
